The Electronic Journals Library offers access to both scientific and academic journals publishing full-text articles on the internet. It includes journals licensed by the University of Bayreuth (over 10,000 journal titles) and also open-access journals available on the internet (over 24,000 journal titles). Therefore, it is one of the largest E-Journal-Libraries of its kind in the world. In addition, further journals are included for which the university has no license but a table of contents and abstracts may be viewed (over 13,000 journal titles). These journals are filed according to subject but are also accessible through the direct search function. The current access status of a journal is simple to recognize through colour-coding.(see also help pages of EZB ).Please also notice the following remarks :
- When selecting the links to serach for journals, the default setting only shows those journals to which the University of Bayreuth has full text access. An extension to all journals including those showing only the table of contents or abstracts can be selected under Preferences.
- Access control for full-text articles is based on the IP address of the computer. For access restricted journals the IPs are restriced to University of Bayreuth network.
