How to find us
The university campus is located on the southern outskirts of the city, approx. 900 metres from exit AS 42 (“Bayreuth Süd”) of the A 9 motorway.
- By car: Leave the A 9 motorway (Nürnberg - Berlin) at exit AS 42 (“Bayreuth Süd”) towards the city centre. Follow the signs to "Universität". Immediately after entering the campus’ main access road, turn right towards car park P 1 (Audimax, Mensa, B9 etc.) located on the right-hand side.
- By train: Taxi stands and bus stops are located in front of Bayreuth main station (timetable Deutsche Bahn). Bus line 316 (limited runs) runs between the main station and the campus. Or you can take another bus to the central bus stop (ZOH) and take the lines 304 (Birken/Universität), 306 (Universität/Campus) or 326 (Oberfrankenhalle/Campus) to the bus stop Mensa (Bayreuth bus network and timetable information).
- By public transport: On campus there are three bus stops: Mensa, Geowissenschaften and Uni-Verwaltung. Line 316 (limited runs) runs between the main station and the campus. The campus can also be reached from the central bus stop (ZOH) by the lines 304, 306 or 326 "Bus stop Mensa" (Bayreuth bus network and timetable information).
