Ordering Pay-Per-View-Articles from Elsevier-Journals
After leaving the Bavarian-Elsevier-Journals consortium in 2011 we cannot provide access to all 505 Elsevier journals which were available until now.
172 important journals are still subscribed and can be accessed. The savings are used for a pay-per-view access to all other Elsevier journals financed by the university library.
The access is made possible via two alternatives:
1) the
library document supply service Subito
- Advantage: cheap price of around 6,- Euro per article
- Disadvantage: can take about 1 – 3 days as copies of the print journals are made and sent as pdf which can sometimes contain DRM-restrictions due to copyright laws.
2) or via
Elsevier ScienceDirect
- Advantage: instant access without DRM-restrictions to the pdf with optimal quality for e.g. color-prints
- Disadvantage: high price of 20,23 Euro (22 US Dollars plus 19% VAT) and personal registration at Elsevier required.
Instructions (as a pdf now available in english) on how to access can be found via the links above. Please choose the access-method which is best suitable for you and which is also the most economically efficient one.
