Bayreuth University Library is in the final phase of migrating to the new library management system FOLIO.
Starting 19th September, it will no longer be possible to:
- borrow items,
- access your library account (UB catalogue),
- place interlibrary loan requests for articles/copies,
- retrieve fulfilled interlibrary loan requests for articles/copies,
- issue library cards for external users,
- pay library fees at the payment machine..
Please save your lists in the library catalogue by 19th September, as these cannot be transferred and will no longer be available once access to the library account is deactivated.
Items currently on loan can still be returned at the circulation desks in the libraries. They will only be checked back in and removed from your library account once the new library system is in use. These restrictions have already been taken into account for the loan periods, so you will not face any disadvantages (e.g. late fees).
The reading rooms will remain open, and items from the open stacks will remain available for use within the libraries. Electronic resources (e-books, e-journals and databases) can still be accessed.
If you have any questions, please contact the information desk team by phone or email (0921 / 55 - 3420,
auskunft.ub@uni-bayreuth.de). The information desk team can be reached Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 4 pm and Friday from 9 am to 1 pm.
