At the end of September, Bayreuth University Library will switch to the new library management system “FOLIO”. The preparations for this also affect the interlibrary loan service, as interlibrary loan processes cannot be migrated between systems.
From 27th July 2026 until 30th September 2026, it will not be possible to place interlibrary loan orders for monographs. Interlibrary loans ordered prior to this can still be used with the following restrictions:
For technical reasons, the interlibrary loan of articles/copies will not be possible from mid-September (probably 19th September 2026 until 30th September 2026).

- Newly arriving interlibrary loans generally cannot be renewed.
- Interlibrary loan items received by 31st August 2026 can only be provided with shortened and, in some cases, fixed loan periods.
- Interlibrary loan items received from the 1st September 2026 until 16th September 2026 can only be used within the reading rooms of the Main Library up to and including the 16th September 2026.
