Shrove Tuesday: All libraries open with service restrictions on 17th February
On Shrove Tuesday, 17th February 2026, all libraries will be open as per usual. However, the Main Library and all departmental libraries will be short-staffed, so there may be occasional restrictions in service.
Library cards can only be issued in the Main Library until 3.45 pm and until 9 pm in the Departmental Library RW.
The Departmental Library LEG (location Kulmbach) will be staffed until 12.30 pm on this day. It will be possible to use the library until 7.30 pm due to the possibility of unstaffed access.
