Opening hours: Christmas/New Year 2025/2026
As decided by the University Governing Board, all main services at the University of Bayreuth are suspended for two weeks over Christmas and New Year’s.
The regular opening hours apply for all libraries up to and including 19th December 2025. From 20th December to 23rd December, all libraries will have reduced opening hours. From 24th December 2025 to 6th January 2026 the Main Library (ZB) and all departmental libraries will remain closed. Unstaffed access to the Departmental Library LEG (location Kulmbach) is also not possible during this time.
From 7th January 2026 the current opening hours will apply again.
