Welcome to the Bayreuth University Library! Here are four tips for library beginners

Finding your way around

Where are the books on my subject? Where can I work with my laptop? How can I print, scan or copy? We offer introductions to library services in the Main library.

Planning ahead

You have to complete your first academic assignment? To make your research more effective, learn how and where you can search for informationa or how you use a reference management system. We offer guided tours and courses in English. For those in a hurry we have a special offer: Our information nibbles introduce relevant topics on library usage (in German language). It will cost you only 20 minutes of your time. Have a look at training courses offered by other university institutions – the IT Service Centre for example provides online tutorials for using Word and Excel, the Writing Centre offers individual support during the process of writing an academic paper.

Stay informed with the news on our homepage concerning opening hours or new ebook packages and databases. We inform about our free training courses on our website and on Facebook.
