Removal of the mask requirement in the libraries and change of the conditions of use for reading room workstations with immediate effect

The library is open to the public in accordance with the requirements of the 16th Bavarian Ordinance on Measures for the Prevention of Infection (16. BayIfSMV). The opening hours can be found here.
Starting Saturday, 21st May 2022, there is a recommendation to wear a mask when visiting the libraries. We therefore strongly recommend that you continue to wear a medical or FFP2-mask for self-protection unless the recommended minimum distance of 1.5 metres can be reliably maintained.

As of Sunday, 3rd April, the 3G Rule for visiting the libraries no longer applies.

During the opening hours, you may choose a workstation inside the library yourself. Reporting to the circulation desks is no longer necessary. The group study rooms of the individual libraries are open for use as well (please note the specific online booking instructions for the departmental library RW).

The computers as well as printing stations and book scanners inside the libraries can be used without restrictions. Please feel free to use other devices on campus for printing, scanning or copying during busy periods. Students still have the option of having orders delivered to their homes via the chargeable book mailing service.

Please note that services will have to be adjusted depending on the course of the pandemic (incidence values).

If you have questions please contact the information desk (0921 / 55 - 3420). You can also write us an email (auskunft.ub@uni-bayreuth.de). It is possible Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 4 pm and Friday from 9 am to 1 pm.
