University teachers and all employees of the university can use Electronic Scanorder Application
(ESA) for the provision of literature in digital form. A bt-ID is required for registration in ESA
The procedure for expired loan periods will be suspended until further notice. No new late fees or reminder fees will be charged during the closure period. If possible, please extend your loan periods yourself via your library account in our online catalogue
If you would like to return books, we place a blue box at the main entrance of the Main Library from Monday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Fridays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can put your returns in this box. You do not need to make an appointment to return media. Alternatively, you can return media to us by post
Employees who are on campus can send media to us via the university's in-house mail ("Hauspost").
Bayreuth University Library provides university members with an extensive range of digital journals

that are licensed from academic publishers. Most of those can also be accessed from private workplaces at home. This requires the installation of the Proxy
in the Firefox browser.
