You are looking for a way to integrate standardized bibliographic lists of your publications into your personal or institutional website? You would like to link the references of your publications with the corresponding digital documents and export the data in different formats to use them in a reference management software, such as Citavi? ERef Bayreuth – the Bibliography of the University of Bayreuth provides these and further functionalities.
ERef serves as a digital archive for bibliographic references of monographs (complete or chapters), complete issues of a journal, articles in journals (also pre- and post-prints) or newspapers, conference reports, conference items as well as theses that are necessary for a degree (PhD thesis, habilitation, bachelor thesis, master thesis, diploma). The registration of working papers, evaluations, research and project reports or patents is also possible. Data available in machine-readable form e.g. BibTex or Endnote can easily be imported.
In terms of content, ERef Bayreuth's structure mirrors the organizational structure of the University of Bayreuth. After completing the log in process with their personal user id, authors or their proxy enter the requested data or import them from other database management systems. An editorial team of Bayreuth University Library revises the archived references to guarantee bibliographical standards. ERef Bayreuth is a system which comprises all faculties. Therefore each reference has to be registered only once and can be referred to by all involved institutions and focus areas. The bibliographic data of documents published in EPub Bayreuth will automatically be transferred to ERef Bayreuth; the document itself is made available through a link to EPub Bayreuth .
The aim of ERef Bayreuth is to indicate the publication activity of the scientists of the Bayreuth University in a central, cross-faculty system. Moreover, the visibility of scholarly output is strongly improved by its inclusion into the international network of Open Archive servers e.g. Google Scholar, BASE.
The University Library is happy to support all staff members who use ERef Bayreuth. For further information please contact: Wiltrud Toussaint, Tel.: 0921/55-3450, E-Mail: eref@ub.uni-bayreuth.de
